A laboratory validation study testing whether whole-genome amplification preserves genotyping fidelity across clinical histocompatibility and immunogenetics assays.
This laboratory validation study examined whether whole-genome amplification preserved genotype fidelity across the single-gene assays used in a histocompatibility and immunogenetics service. Amplified DNA from reference and clinical samples was tested for HPA, HNA, CCR5, CX3CR1, and related targets to compare call concordance with native genomic DNA. The results showed high analytical fidelity, supporting WGA as a practical approach when sample volume is limited or repeat testing is required.
