A case–control genetic study evaluating adipokine (leptin, adiponectin, resistin) and UCP2 polymorphisms in non-obese women with recurrent miscarriage.
This study examined whether adipokine polymorphisms (leptin 2549, adiponectin 276/45, resistin 420) and the UCP2 45-bp indel variant are associated with recurrent miscarriage in non-obese North Indian women. Significant risks were linked to the leptin 2549 A allele, adiponectin 276 G allele, and UCP2 DD genotype, with combined genotype patterns amplifying susceptibility.
