A case control study evaluating the influence of acetylcholinesterase variants on north indian women experiencing unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss.
This case control study evaluated ACHE gene polymorphism and its influence on recurrent pregnancy losses among 200 women from North India. The D allele of the insertion/deletion (I/D) polymorphism of the ACHE gene is associated with greater serum acetylcholinesterase activity, and is associated with phenotypic variance in serum enzyme levels. women homozygous for the DD allele of the ACHE gene were at high risk for recurrent pregnancy loss.
